London / International —Internationally renowned fashion designer Dr Lady Priyanka Mallick has expressed her deep honour and gratitude upon receiving Christmas wishes from Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, conveyed through Buckingham Palace.
This gracious gesture follows a significant moment earlier this year, when Dr Lady Priyanka Mallick gifted His Majesty King Charles III a specially designed hand-painted suit titled “His Majesty’s Harmony” on the occasion of His Majesty’s recent birthday. The bespoke design was inspired by the King’s lifelong dedication to environmental sustainability, climate action, education, healthcare, craftsmanship, and conscious fashion.
Following this, His Majesty kindly sent a letter of appreciation, acknowledging the design — a gesture Dr Lady Priyanka Mallick describes as “a moment of lifelong honour.”
“I am profoundly humbled and grateful. To have my work acknowledged by His Majesty, and to receive Christmas wishes from Their Majesties, truly means the world to me,” said Dr Lady Priyanka Mallick.
Dr Lady Priyanka Mallick is an award-winning international fashion designer, founder of three fashion designer brands, and author of four eBooks. Her work uniquely blends heritage craftsmanship, sustainability, and a futuristic cosmic vision, positioning fashion as a bridge between culture, responsibility, and innovation.
Her academic journey includes a Fashion Design degree and Master’s from Milan, Italy, along with advanced studies in Sustainable Business at Harvard University (USA), UX Design at the University of Cambridge (UK), and Leadership studies at UNITAR, Geneva. She also holds an honorary Doctorate in Pop Cultural Studies.
Dr Lady Priyanka Mallick serves as a UNESCO Transforming Education Advisor, is a UN Women member, and is affiliated with leading global institutions including The British Fashion Council (UK), CFDA (USA), The Royal Commonwealth Society (UK), UNHCR, Chatham House, and The Royal Society of Edinburgh.
In 2025, she made global history by becoming the first fashion designer in the world whose creations landed on the Moon’s surface, earning recognition as a Universal Fashion Designer, as acknowledged by NASA. Her honours also include the Peace Ambassador Award (USA) and Shera Bangali 2024, awarded by ABP Ananda.
Behind her remarkable journey stands her respected and infinitely loving husband, Prof. Dr. Susanta Banerjee, whom she fondly calls her Supreme Sun, saying,
“I am only his reflection, like moonlight. He is my strength, my inspiration, and my guiding light.”
