How do you define beauty beyond aesthetics?
I believe beauty goes far beyond what we see in the mirror. While makeup and aesthetics can be wonderful tools for self-expression, creativity and transformation, true beauty lies in individuality, confidence and authenticity. It is about embracing who you are rather than trying to conform to an ideal.
For me, makeup should enhance a person’s natural character, not conceal their identity. Every face tells a story, and I find beauty in those individual details, expressions and imperfections that make each person unique. Ultimately, beauty is about how we feel within ourselves and the confidence we radiate into the world.
How has your philosophy of beauty evolved over time?
Over the years, my understanding of beauty has become much more personal and nuanced. When I first began my journey in makeup, I was fascinated by the transformative power of colour, texture, artistry and technique. With experience, I have come to appreciate that the most meaningful beauty is not necessarily about transformation, but about understanding and celebrating individuality.
I have also learned that beauty is constantly evolving. Trends come and go, but authenticity, creativity and self-expression remain timeless. Today, I see makeup as a form of art that should empower people, inspire confidence and allow everyone to express themselves freely. My philosophy has evolved from creating a particular look of beauty to celebrating the many different ways beauty can exist.
