Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and launched the First AC sleeper Class train linking Kolkata to Guwahati. He also laid the foundation for 3,250 crore worth of railway projects in West Bengal before the election.
During the two-day visit to West Bengal, the inauguration ceremony was held yesterday in Malda. At the same time, the train will run from Howrah to Kamakhya in both directions six days a week.
While the Prime Minister Modi have launched New Jalpaiguri -Nagercoil Amrit Bharat Express, New Jalpaiguri Tiruchirappalli Amrit Bharat Express, Alipurduar Sir Visvesvarrya Terminal SMVT bengaluru Amrit Bharat Express, and Alipurduar Mumbai Panvel Amrit Bharat Express.
On the other hand, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was also present at the event and said local cuisine from Bengal and Assam will be available on the train. While Senior leader Sukanta Majumdar, the leader of the opposition of the state, Suvendu Adhikari, along with state president Samik Bhattacharya and governor CV Ananda Bose, were also present at the event.
It is India’s First Vande Bharat train, launched by Prime Minister Modi. BEML has made a long-distance semi-high-speed train. The train consists of 16 coaches and 823 passengers. It will alsom have 11 three-ac coaches, two tire-ac coaches, and first-class-ac coaches.
