This decision is nothing short of patriarchy at its worst—an attempt to police women’s freedom under the flimsy excuse of “child welfare.” Restricting smartphones for women while leaving men entirely unaccountable is baseless discrimination .
Children have fathers too, yet their access to technology is never limited to a certain threshold then why are women singled out and pushed back to keypad phones, as if the phones would act as mind controlling device.
This mindset is not about children at all; it is about control. Denying women access to technology is a direct attack on their autonomy, growth, and right to participate fully in modern life and it is a mentality which is disliked and disencouraged by the people.
If there is no scope of access to technology, how does one develop and upskill. Access to technology is required to all irrespective of gender,race, religion and mobile phones is considered a companion in today’s world which is being taken away from through such activities.
If such practices gain acceleration it could seriously lead to social problems within the society leading to social unrest. Access to technology is not privilege but a nessicity however it is being challenged in today’s world which shows even though we have called upon ourselves that we as humans have modernized, upgraded the minds of humans are still not at par with today’s ideology and principles.

This is patriarchy at its peak! Such men only want to control women and not let them grow in life. How is restricting smartphones for women will benefit children?! This doesn’t make any sense at all. Those children have fathers as well, won’t they use their smartphones? Why the rule isn’t applied to men then? Why only women?! Women also have the right to use technology. The rule only allows them to use a keypad phone. Are we going back to the 90’s? This is outrageous. Such mentality is beyond unacceptable. We really need to speak up on this and stop this nonsense. These people have problem with women’s freedom. That’s the root cause.
