September 21, 2025 – On the occasion of World Peace Day, internationally renowned fashion designer Dr Lady Priyanka Mallick presented her latest artwork illustration, a moving symbol of peace, resilience, and humanity.
The artwork, showcased on a UNICEF banner, portrays Mother Earth in the divine form of Goddess Durga, holding a little child in her arms. This image powerfully represents protection, compassion, and the nurturing essence of peace in times of conflict. The child symbolizes innocence, hope, and the future of humanity, while the figure of Mother Earth as Goddess Durga embodies strength, courage, and the eternal fight against the darkness of war and violence.
“This artwork is a reminder that even in the midst of global crises, peace can prevail when we protect and nurture the most vulnerable among us—our children,” said Dr Lady Priyanka Mallick, who is a member of the United Nations for International Affairs, UN Women, The Royal Commonwealth Society of the United Kingdom, British Fashion Council, and CFDA USA.
