Internationally acclaimed fashion designer Dr. Lady Priyanka Mallick Banerjee has been formally recognized by NASA for her extraordinary contribution to art and culture in space exploration. Her designs, along with her photograph and the name and photograph of her Respected and Infinite Loving Husband, Prof. Dr. Susanta Banerjee, are now traveling aboard the Europa Clipper Mission, launched in October 2024 on its historic journey to Jupiter’s icy moon Europa.
Dr. Mallick is celebrated as the first fashion designer in history whose creations have traveled into deep space, symbolizing the bridge between human creativity and cosmic exploration. Her educational background includes studies in Fashion Design in Milan, Italy, Sustainable Business at Harvard University (USA), Stanford University (USA), UX Design at Cambridge University (UK), and Leadership & Fleet Management at UNITAR, Geneva. She also holds an honorary Doctorate in Pop Cultural Studies and is a UNESCO Transforming Education Advisor, UN Women Member, and an active member of the Royal Commonwealth Society (UK), British Fashion Council, CFDA (USA), Chatham House, and several other international institutions.
