International Fashion Designer Priyanka Mallick’s Designs to Land on the Moon – Honored by King Charles III and Queen Camilla
The World’s First Fashion Designer with Creations to Travel to the Moon
Internationally acclaimed fashion designer Priyanka Mallick is thrilled to announce that her designs, including The Eternal Rose Dress for Queen Camilla and The Cosmic Butterfly Brooch for King Charles III, will soon grace the surface of the Moon. Her designs will be sent as part of Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost Mission 1, set to launch on January 15, 2025, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This marks yet another historic achievement for Priyanka Mallick, who holds the prestigious World Record as the first fashion designer in the world to have her creations sent to the Moon.

In February 2024, The Eternal Rose Dress, designed for Queen Camilla during Their Majesties’ Coronation, made its first journey to the Moon aboard Astrobotic’s Peregrine Lunar Lander. Now, her exquisite designs will once again journey to the Moon, this time included in a pyramid capsule by Lifeship, alongside an archive of her biography.

Adding to the honor, Priyanka Mallick received a heartfelt letter of appreciation and best wishes from Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla via Buckingham Palace. “I’m over the moon,” Priyanka shared. “Their Majesties’ appreciation means the world to me. It’s an honor beyond words to have my designs admired by Their Majesties and to see them travel to the Moon.”

In February 2023, Priyanka’s and her respected and loving husband, Prof. Dr. Susanta Banerjee’s names and photos also landed on the Moon via Intuitive Machines’ Lunar Lander. Prof. Dr. Banerjee, whom Priyanka affectionately refers to as her “Supreme Sun,” continues to inspire her, as she describes herself as “only his reflection, like moonlight.”
